Support Belcycle

Belcycle is free for every cyclist and will stay that way. The site still has fixed costs. If you find it useful, you can help cover them. Nothing is required, and nothing changes for those who don’t give.

Why ask for support?

Belcycle sells nothing to its users: posting a theft alert, adding a ride or listing a second-hand bike is free and commission-free. The site shows no ad banners and sells no data. It still has to be paid for every month to keep running.

The goal is simple: cover the site’s fixed costs through donations, so that it depends neither on a single sponsor nor on advertising.

How to help

Launch campaign

Ulule

A crowdfunding campaign is being prepared to fund printing and the first year of hosting. The link will be published here as soon as it opens.

What a donation does not buy

A donation gives no advantage on the site. No badge, no priority alert, no featured listing, no reserved access. The site stays strictly identical for everyone, whether you give or not. This is deliberate: a theft alert must get the same visibility whatever the wallet of the person posting it.

Transparency

Belcycle is free for all cyclists, with no ad banners, no targeted advertising, no data selling, no commission on listings and no subscription. The site is funded by donations, by the support of clearly identified cycling professionals and by a few links to online shops that pay us a small commission if you buy; those links are always labelled “advertising (affiliate link)”. The price never changes for you.

We commit to publishing a simple yearly report on this page: amounts received per channel (donations, professionals, affiliate links), spending per item, and what was done with the difference.
